۞ مَثَلُ ٱلْفَرِيقَيْنِ كَٱلْأَعْمَىٰ وَٱلْأَصَمِّ وَٱلْبَصِيرِ وَٱلسَّمِيعِ ۚ هَلْ يَسْتَوِيَانِ مَثَلًا ۚ أَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ

The example of the two parties is like the blind and deaf, and the seeing and hearing. Are they equal in comparison? Then, will you not remember?

People of the Book (Jews and Christians) are of two kinds, those who can see the Truth, and those who choose not to

۞ مَثَلُmathalu(The) example

ٱلْفَرِيقَيْنِl-farīqayni(of) the two parties

كَٱلْأَعْمَىٰkal-aʿmā(is) like the blind

وَٱلْأَصَمِّwal-aṣamiand the deaf

وَٱلْبَصِيرِwal-baṣīriand the seer

وَٱلسَّمِيعِ ۚwal-samīʿiand the hearer

هَلْhalAre

مَثَلًا ۚmathalan(in) comparison

أَفَلَاafalāThen, will not
