حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ نَافِعٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يُغَيِّرُ الاِسْمَ الْقَبِيحَ

Narrated 'Aishah: that the Prophet (ﷺ) would change offensive names. Abu Bakr bin Nafi said: "Sometimes 'Umar bin 'Ali would narrated this Hadith: "Hisham bin 'Urwah from his father, from the Prophet (ﷺ),' in Mursal form, and he would not mention 'from 'Aishah' in it."
