The Book of Prayer - Travellers
باب اسْتِحْبَابِ تَطْوِيلِ الْقِرَاءَةِ فِي صَلاَةِ اللَّيْلِ
It is recommended to recite for a long time in the night prayers
وَحَدَّثَنَاهُ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ الْخَلِيلِ، وَسُوَيْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُسْهِرٍ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ . مِثْلَهُ .
'Abdullah (b. Mas'ud) reported that a mention was made of a man who slept the whole night till morning. He (the Holy Prophet) remarked: A hadith like this has been narrated by A'mash with the same chain of transmitters.
