The Book of Virtues
باب تَوْقِيرِهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَتَرْكِ إِكْثَارِ سُؤَالِهِ عَمَّا لاَ ضَرُورَةَ إِلَيْهِ أَوْ لاَ يَت
Respecting Him And Not Asking Him Unnecessary Questions
وَحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي خَلَفٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ، - وَهُوَ مَنْصُورُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ الْخُزَاعِيُّ - أَخْبَرَنَا لَيْثٌ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْهَادِ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ مِثْلَهُ سَوَاءً .
This hadith has been narrated by Abu Huraira through a different chain of transmitters (and the words are) that he reported Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) having said: This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Ibn Shihab with the same chain of transmitters.
