The Book of Prayer
وَلَهُ : عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ - رضى الله عنه - أَنَّ اَلنَّبِيَّ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -قَالَ : { لَا يُؤَذِّنُ إِلَّا مُتَوَضِّئٌ } وَضَعَّفَهُ أَيْضًا 1 . فَالْحَدِيثُ ضَعِيفٌ مَرْفُوعًا وَمَوْقُوفًا .1 - ضعيف . رواه الترمذي (200) وضعفه بالانقطاع بين الزهري وبين أبي هريرة . قلت : ورواه أيضا (201) موقوفا على أبي هريرة - ولا يصح أيضا - بلفظ : "لا ينادي بالصلاة إلا متوضئ ".
He also reported from Abu Hurairah (RA): The Prophet (ﷺ) said: "No one should announce Adhan except the one who has performed the ablution". . So the narration is weak whether Marfu' or Mawquf (saying of a Companion).
